Spencer founded Thomas Capital Holdings to give business owners, sponsors, and private clients the kind of capital advice usually reserved for institutions.

His career spans nearly two decades across private banking, commercial and investor lending, and real estate private equity. As a private banker, he advised high net worth clients and executives on credit, liquidity, and the structure of their holdings. Since then he has worked on both sides of the table, sourcing and structuring debt and equity for acquisitions, refinances, developments, and operating businesses.

Spencer leads every client engagement personally. He holds an MBA from Brenau University and a BS in Business Management from BYU Idaho, and he earned the Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS®) designation. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.

James leads business development for Thomas Capital Holdings and brings an engineer's judgment to client projects in construction, development, and industrial operations.

He began his career as a nuclear reactor operator in the U.S. Navy, then spent about 14 years at Chevron. He has also held roles at Tesla, Lucid Motors, and Coffman Engineers. James is the founder and principal engineer of HazReps Consulting.

When a capital plan depends on whether a project can be built on time and on budget, James helps clients and capital partners pressure test the execution. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential.
